EssenceMediacom UK Triumphs at the New Digital Age x JCDecaux Programmatic DOOH Live Awards 2024

The first-ever New Digital Age x JCDecaux Programmatic DOOH Live Awards 2024 recently took place in London, gathering leading lights from the outdoor ad industry to celebrate the best programmatic OOH campaigns of the past year.

This year’s awards ceremony broke the mold by eschewing traditional pre-event voting. Instead, each nominee was given three minutes to pitch their campaign live to an audience exceeding 100 industry professionals. In an exciting twist, the audience members cast their votes on the spot, effectively turning each attendee into a judge. These audience votes were then balanced against scores from a panel of expert judges to determine the winners in real-time.

Representing EssenceMediacom UK, our Senior Associate Director for pDOOH, Alan Meech, had the honour of showcasing our cutting-edge campaigns for esteemed clients Lucozade and Costa Coffee. Alan presented our impactful work on Lucozade Sport Zero and Costa Coffee Summer Moments, while our collaborative efforts with Mars were highlighted by Blis.

In the face of robust competition, EssenceMediacom UK emerged as the evening’s standout victor, securing awards in every category entered and claiming more accolades than any other agency:

  • Best Use of Programmatic & Traditional OOH: Lucozade Sport Zero

  • Best Use of Programmatic OOH & Online Video: Mars

  • Grand Prix: Costa Coffee Summer Moments

Reflecting on the event, Alan Meech remarked, “It was fantastic to see the breadth of work people are doing in the world of pDOOH which has sparked some interesting conversations with clients about developing future activity further. The live submissions and voting at the Awards were an interesting twist from JC Decaux and New Digital Age making the awards stand out for the crowd. These wins are a testament to the amazing breakthrough work being done by everyone at EssenceMediacom, along with our partners at Nexus and On Device Research.”
